 University- Colleges will include second, fourth and sixth semester students studying

 State Government and Private Universities- Grant-in-Aid Colleges as well as Government and Private Colleges for all courses except undergraduate Medical-Paramedical Intermediate Semester 2-3 and where Semester-6 Intermediate students will get the benefit of Merit Based Progress 





 50% marks will be given on the basis of internal assessment and 50% marks will be given immediately on the basis of previous semester 

 Decision of Chief Minister Shri Vijaybhai Rupani in the meeting of the core committee with the noble price of health care of approximately 3.50 lakh youth of the state

 The core committee meeting chaired by Chief Minister Shri Vijaybhai Rupani has taken an important decision in the wider interest of students studying higher education in government and private university-colleges in the state 

  The Chief Minister has decided, with a view to protecting the young students of the state in the current epidemic of global epidemic corona, to provide merit-based intermediate semester students for all courses except undergraduate medical-paramedical in government and private university-colleges in the state.

 Education Minister Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasama while giving details of the decision of the core committee chaired by the Chief Minister said that the state government has decided to give this merit based progress only this year considering the impact of the transition of Kovid-19 cores on education work in schools and colleges this year.  .

  He said that the decision of Merit Based Progress made by the State Government will benefit students of Intermediate Semester 2, 3 and where Semester 4 is also Intermediate for all courses except Medical-Paramedical of Government and Private Universities and Colleges 

 .  He added that the total number of such students is estimated to be 3.50 lakh.

 Giving a detailed understanding of the method of merit based progress given to the students of Intermediate Semester, the Education Minister said that for this purpose, 50% marks will be given on the basis of internal assessment and the remaining 50% marks will be given on the basis of previous pre-semester.

 Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasama clarified that if the practical examination has not been conducted by the university-colleges, then 50% marks will be counted on the basis of internal assessment and the remaining 50% marks will be calculated on the basis of the previous previous semester.

 In cases where the practical test has been taken, the actual marks obtained in the test will be taken into account, he added.

 The Education Minister said that at present, corona vaccination is being carried out in the age group of 18 to 6 years in the state.  While most of these young students are yet to be vaccinated, Chief Minister Shri Vijaybhai Rupani has taken this important decision in the wider health interest of the entire student world.
