Teacher Recruitment: There are many vacant posts of teachers in primary schools in the state.  Due to which the opposite effects are happening in education as well.  Earlier, traveling teachers were recruited to fill the shortage of teachers in primary schools.  But from now on, there is news that knowledge assistant teachers will be recruited to fill the shortage of teachers in primary schools.

 At present, the posts of teachers are largely vacant in primary schools.  Education Minister Kuberbhai Dindor said that 25000 knowledge assistant teachers will be recruited in the near future to complete this.

 Along with this, about 5000 sports assistant teachers are also going to be recruited to provide sports and physical education to the students in the schools.
 It is to be mentioned that earlier in the schools, traveling teachers were recruited on a temporary basis on an hourly and hourly basis.  Now it is to be seen that how these knowledge assistant teachers will be recruited?  Either on permanent basis or on contract basis.  It has PTC/B.Ed.  Candidates who have completed and passed TET will get employment.

In the cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, a preliminary discussion has been held on this issue today, the sources said, adding that currently there is a shortage of approximately 10,000 teaching assistants in primary schools, while there is almost an equal shortage of teaching assistants in secondary and higher secondary schools.  To overcome this shortfall, some new rules will soon be framed before taking up the recruitment process.  Sources added that it is currently being considered that in the recruitment of knowledge assistants candidates will first be given an option for vacancies in their hometown or nearby areas.  Knowledge Assistants are likely to be recruited with a fixed salary of Rs.20,000.

 School Assistant Recruitment

 People associated with education often complain that teachers in primary schools have to do other work apart from teaching.  The Hon'ble Education Minister said that school assistants will be recruited separately in primary schools so that primary school teachers can devote enough time to teaching children.  In schools with more than 250 students, Multi Purpose Teacher i.e. School Assistant will be recruited.  This school assistant will handle the online operations and all other operations of the school.
