Assistance to Ganga Swarupa Sisters in Post Accounts from DBT The Government of Gujarat has made result oriented efforts for the overall development of all sections of the state by raising their concerns on the pillar of transparency, sensitivity, decisiveness and progress.  

There are also women, children, the deprived, the victims, the exploited, the helpless.  Efforts have been made to uplift the elderly.  

Recently, Chief Minister Shri Vijaybhai Rupani from Gandhinagar started the DBT work of depositing monthly assistance directly in the post office of the beneficiary under Ganga Swarupa Economic Assistance Scheme in the state, another innovative initiative of transparent administration. 

 Shri Vijaybhai Rupani through the merger of the National Social Assistance Program Portal of the Central Government with the Department of Women and Child Development of the State Government deposited a total of Rs.  . 

 The Chief Minister honored the assistance scheme given to widowed destitute sisters-mothers in the state in honor of "Ganga Swarupa Economic Assistance Scheme".  He had earlier paid Rs.  1 thousand per month financial assistance limit has been increased from April 2016 to Rs.  It has also started giving monthly assistance of Rs.  Not only that, in the past, the rule was stopped for giving assistance to such mothers and sisters when they have a son at the age of 21.

 The rule has also been amended showing sensitivity and now, lifelong assistance is given.  The Chief Minister also instructed the Department of Women and Child Development to ensure that the monthly allowance is paid to the beneficiary sisters of Ganga Swarupa Economic Assistance Scheme in the first week of every month. 

 It is pertinent to point out here that earlier 1.5 lakh mothers and sisters used to get the benefit of this Ganga Swarupa financial assistance scheme but now due to the increase in this annual income limit, 2.50 lakh sisters are getting the scheme benefits. 

 On this occasion Education Minister Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, Women and Child Welfare Minister Shri Ganpat Singh Vasava, Minister of State Shri Vibhavaribahen Dave, Women and Child Welfare Secretary and Commissioner Shri Mania Chenna and. 

 Department officials were present.  2 State's first School of Advanced Defense Studies Center to be set up in the state to create employment through the participation of defense related industries.  ) Will be effective in establishing collaboration and properly linking the research industry.  Government of Gujarat and MoUs have been signed for the purpose. 

 Gujarat University has decided to set up the state's first School of Advanced Defense Studies (S.A.D.S) Center at Ahmedabad, showing the Institute of Infrastructure Technology research and approach. 

 MoU with State Government and Institute of Defense Scientists and Technologists (.D.S.T.) At New Delhi to facilitate School of Advanced Defense Studies at New Delhi for construction of this center.  Have been done.

  D.S.T will share resources by providing mutual resources and to strengthen defense-related efforts in Gujarat, NIDST and financial resources, intellectual resources and infrastructural facilities of Gujarat Government will be made available.  - Ram and I.D.  ST has been appointed as Knowledge Partner.
