 Central government reduces excise duty

The new price will be applicable from tomorrow

 The central government has decided to reduce the excise duty on petrol by Rs 5 and the excise duty on diesel by Rs 10.

 In most Indian cities, petrol has crossed Rs 100 per liter and is going up by about 35 paise a day.  From October 4, 2021 to October 25, the average price of petrol has increased by Rs.  Giving a big relief to the people who are suffering from the rise in petrol and diesel prices, the central government has reduced the excise duty on petrol and diesel by Rs 5 a liter and petrol by Rs 10 a liter.

 Petrol-diesel prices may come down, the government has taken up the matter under pressure from all quarters

 The new prices will come into effect from Thursday

 On the eve of Diwali, the Indian government has announced a reduction in excise duty on petrol and diesel.  Excise duty on petrol and diesel will be reduced by Rs 5 and Rs 10, respectively, from Thursday.  The reduction in excise duty on diesel will be double that of petrol.  The Rs 10 reduction in diesel will be of great benefit to farmers in the coming Ravi season.
