Achievement through Sankalp Water Conservation, Irrigation and Water Management Today Gujarat has become water rich as a result of the important work of water conservation, irrigation and water management of the progressive government under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vijaybhai Rupani. Gujarat has implemented circular orientation of small, medium and large irrigation schemes. Extension of Sujalam Suflam Jal Abhiyan, large uplift irrigation schemes in tribal areas, all pipeline schemes for filling reservoirs in Saurashtra area with additional flood water of Narmada as well as modernization of irrigation infrastructure to improve irrigation facilities in the last four years by the State Government.
Various schemes have been undertaken. Significant increase in irrigation facilities in tribal areas: 3 large uplift irrigation schemes based on Kadana reservoir, Karjan reservoir, Kakrapar reservoir and Ukai reservoir in tribal areas at a cost of Rs. Ripple. Dinod Boridha Udvahan Irrigation Scheme: Rs. Irrigation facility at a cost of Rs. 3 crore.
Kakrapar-Gordha-Vad Udvahan Irrigation Scheme: At a cost of Rs.211 crore, the benefit of irrigation is given to about 3 OOO farming families in the area of 5,200 acres in 4 villages of Mandvi and Mangrol taluka of Surat district at a cost of Rs. 3 crore Karjanwadi Udvahan Pipeline Scheme will benefit irrigation in 1500 acres of 108 villages.
